Review added: THE SEVEN STONES MYSTERY (1949)

While nearly all of the Gladys Mitchell book titles are represented at The Stone House with a personal synopsis and review, I add one long-absent entry to the group: a review of 1949's adventure story for girls, The Seven Stones Mystery.

As I mention in the review, part of Mitchell's interest in creating a story series for young readers seems to be the inspiration of, and affection for, the students she taught and coached while working as a full-time educator. It's great fun to read one more Gladys Mitchell mystery, even if her detective and intended audience are still in their teens!
